You have received a copy of our ANNUAL CHURCH REPORT in your mailbox this morning. Please look through it before the business meeting next Sunday and report any errors to the church office.

 

 

 

Children K-6^th grade will begin work on their Christmas Musical “CHRISTMAS SHOP AROUND THE CORNER”  today. They will report to the Youth Room right after Sunday School. Kids not wishing to be part of the musical will attend second worship.

 

 

 

SUNDAY FUNDAYis here. Join us after the worship service for grilled hamburgers and hotdogs, cookies and popsicles, lawn games, etc.   Donations for the food will be accepted.

 

 

 

 

 

The CHURCH OFFICE will be closed tomorrow for Labor Day.

 

 

 

CHANGES TO STORYTIME – Please note that Storytime is moving to Wednesday at 9:30 am. All pre-schoolers with a parent are invited for stories, crafts and games.

 

 

 

MEAL DEALS are served every Wednesday from 5:30 – 6:15 pm for $3 a person with no family paying more than $10. This week we will have Taco Salad, Chips with Salsa and German Chocolate Cake.

 

 

 

QUEST, a Bible Study for collegians, is held every Thursday beginning with food at 8:00 pm at 1300 Snow. All college students are invited.

A FORUM between SDC leaders and the MB Seminary will be held September 10 & 11 at Memorial Road MB Church in Edmond.  Please consider attending these meetings to find out what is going on in our conference and to support Pastor Brian as he defends our faith. If you would like to attend, you must register at www.sdcmb.org. Registration is free, but if you want to eat meals there, you can pay $25. Please be praying for these very important meetings. 

 

 

 

 

 

A PRAYER VIGIL will go on during these meetings. Please sign up at the Information Booth to be a part of this important ministry!

 

 

 

 

 

CHOIR will kick-off again on next Sunday at 5:00 pm. We need you! Please prayerfully consider being in the choir this year.

 

 

 

 

 

We will have an ALL-CHURCH POT LUCK next Sunday prior to our Fall Business Meeting. We ask each family to bring two dishes to share. The meal will begin at 6:00 pm – be sure and plan to stay for the business meeting following.

 

 

 

 

 

Pastor Brian will be teaching a new Bible Study Class called “HOT TOPICS.” This class will discuss The Emergent Church, Creation and End Times. The class will begin Wednesday, September 15^th at 6:30 pm in Room W-106 and continue on Wednesdays this semester.

 

 

 

 

 “ANOINTED, TRANSFORMED, REDEEMED” A Study of David by Priscilla Shirer, Beth Moore and Kay Arthur will begin in September. We are now out of books, so if you want to attend, please let us know so we can order more. It will be offered on Mondays at Noon beginning September 20 and Wednesdays evenings at 6:30 beginning September 15.

 

 

We are looking for someone to TEACH 4^th & 5^th GRADE Sunday School class. If there is more than one person willing, we can switch months or weeks, whatever works best. Contact Brittany Fite if you are interested.

 

 

 

We have a SCHOLARSHIP FUND that benefits campers who attend church camp and also students who attend Tabor College. It is currently in need of funds. If you would like to give to this, please mark “Scholarship” in the memo portion of your check.

 

 

 

 

 

The MCC RELIEF SALE is coming November 5 & 6 in Enid. Help get the word out by distributing the posters and brochures on the Information Booth.
